EVENTS

We take pride in sponsoring and participating in enrichment programs for our kids, supporting our teachers and staff.  The purpose of the PTG is to foster, enhance and support our Franklin Community.  As well as, fostering closer relationships among students, parents and teachers to improve the learning environment through volunteering and financial support.

The Annual Fun Run

The fun happens at the Franklin recess field.  All classes participate and parents are welcome to join in the fun.   Students run/walk for donations.  Through donations, the 2019 Fun Run paid for the Schools access to Dreambox.  If you are interested in helping out and volunteering please contact the Franklin PTG, franklinptg@gmail.com

Family Movie Nights

Once a month, on a Friday evening, the PTG shows a movie in the schools multi-purpose room.  Refreshments are available for purchase and all students and families are welcome.  Following the movie, prizes there is a raffle for prizes. The Annual Book Swap

Families can bring in books that they have read and exchange them for other books free of charge. If you are interested in helping out and volunteering please contact the Franklin PTG, franklinptg@gmail.com

The Missoula Children's Theater 

The Missoula Children's Theater comes to Franklin to have the students put on a play.  All families and Spokane community members can attend and be proud of our Franklin student's theatrical talents.  This is one of the most popular events at Franklin. The Franklin Spaghetti Feed 

Each spring, the PTG has a Spaghetti diner for all Franklin students and families.  Following the diner, there is a guest speaker discussing important topics for families. If you are interested in helping out and volunteering please contact the Franklin PTG, franklinptg@gmail.com

The Spring Carnival

Each May, the Franklin Spring Carnival is one of the most popular events.  Games are set up in the gym and outside recess area.  There are refreshments, prizes, raffles and a cakewalk. If you are interested in helping out and volunteering please contact the Franklin PTG, franklinptg@gmail.com

The Lantern Walk

The Lantern Walk is an ancient Franklin tradition, taking place in November.  Students, families and teachers take a tour around the Franklin grounds with the lanterns each class has made. If you are interested in helping out and volunteering please contact the Franklin PTG, franklinptg@gmail.com

Aside from events, our PTG also provides supplemental funds and financial support for teachers and the school.
